Los cincuenta mejores libros infantiles
Los últimos cuatro títulos de Harry Potter, del cuatro al siete, han sido los libros que se han vendido más rápido en la Historia. No obstante, los británicos consideran «El león, la bruja y el armario», el episodio más famoso de las Crónicas de Narnia, de C. S. Lewis, como el mejor libro infantil de todos los tiempos.
El único tomo de J. K. Rowling que aparece entre las cincuenta mejores obras infantiles es «Harry Poter y el príncipe mestizo», en el sexto lugar. Personalmente, junto con el volumen tres, los considero los mejores de la serie.
La votación la han realizado personas de entre 16 y 65 años, es decir, adultos que ya pasaron por la infancia y recuerdan sus lecturas es decir que la lista premia relatos leídos en su juventud de generaciones hoy maduras.
Los cinco primeros, obviamente de narrativa en inglés, son «El león, la bruja y el armario»; «The very hungry caterpillar», un libro de dibujos de Eric Carle, de 1969; «Winnie-the-Pooh», de A. A. Wilne, y «The BFG», de Roald Dahl.
«Alicia en el país de las maravillas» está en el puesto número nueve; «Charlie y la fábrica de cholocate», en el 12; el dickesiano «Cuento de Navidad», en el 18, y «Peter Pan», en el 20.
Cualquiera de estas obras mencionadas es ya un clásico de la literatura, sin embargo es curioso que el niño mago no apareciera…
